Here are the pins out of a Master 140. As you can see 3 spools and 1 serrated driver, normal key pins.

Cheers
Jamie

PS. Look at the wear on the bottom pins from years of picking!!!!!

Nice para :D Not all 140's are easy to rake. Mine is un-rakeable.

Wow I actually picked a lock with 3 spool pins and this was my first exposure to security pins. Wow just wow.

To be honest, i'd say that the spools aren't that special, that serrated pin though....
You're on the right way.

Those shouldn't be too expensive.
Doesn't LAB sell cheap universal pins?

On mine the tricky pins are the 2 and 4. Does the hole on the bottom have to do with taking it apart? I would like to look at the pins in mine also.

I believe that the hole on the bottom is for letting water out... Makes sense to me.

Ah, UWSDWF, with the debates that have been held on the thing,
I'd say a little confirmation is in order.

I also have a .140 master lock which i've found easy to pick compared to my brinks padlock unknown model. Sometimes it opens quickly other times it will take me a few tries. The methods I use are raking very gently will work sometimes, another method is after raking and getting a few pins set, I gently use the rake to get the rake set just under other pins and bump them upward very gently while releasing tension and this sometimes sets the rest of the pins, this also works instead of raking just placing the rakes high points under each pin to gently raise them all or bump / tap them up a bit more like a bouncing method just to set a few pins by feeling them out you get an idea of which have set, I then use either the tip of the rake or a half diamond to set the rest. I've also opened it with just a half diamond. I lost my hook and don't have a big set of picks but i've spent time learning to open it with just about each pick that I do have. I think its good practice to spend a day or up to a week practicing with one pick then going on to others you'll learn new ways to use each pick the 140 I have now is really easy to open for me. I haven't checked the forums yet but I plan to repin it if possible for more practice.

I have had a couple of PM's asking how i got the pins out of the 140 and if its re pinable. I had to destroy the lock to get the pins out as below.

So its not a case of putting a magic piece of wire through the little hole and having the lock fall apart. Its a drain hole lol!!

Oh and BTW, the fifth hole if for a long fixed pin that holds the plug in place, it is a 4 pin lock.
