Stockinger Isis Safe in MAXIM Magazine!

I picked up the latest issue of Maxim today and on one of the pages was a nice looking safe. It was a Stockinger Isis, with a price of $22,000 USD.
Anyway, according to Stockington, in 30 years of doing business their safes have never been succesfully opened (by any other means than using the combo). Right away it hit me that this sounds like a lot of b.s. Anyone know if their claim is true or they are full of it. It was a 750 pound burglary safe with a fire proof rating good to something like 1800 degrees.

Yes it basically reaches a higher temp then some of the barrier metals out there and burns through. I have not looked into the specs of this safe to see what it is rated at.

Personally, I wonder if thermite would burn through a 1.25"-1.5" thick copper barrier plate. Copper plates are used in some safes to disperse heat and defeat standard oxy acetylene and various other torch attacks.

Safes can't prevent entry from a determined, well equipped attacker, they only slow them down. The better the safe the more time they buy for you.
There are some cutting tools that get hotter than the surface of the sun. No material can resist that, BUT they are expensive, slow and produce tons of smoke while burning through. Plus they would probably destroy anything in the safe other than diamonds. Hard, yes... Impossible, no.
