haven't tried that lock but the general rules of thumb ive herd are

*The amount of pressure u need to push down a key on a keyboard*

&

*about the same pressure u put on your eye when getting contact lenses out*

But u have to allow for where your finger/ thumb is on the tension wrench.

i know u asked HIM not me as well but i thought ide throw in my 2 cents

oh and if your raking i find its more when u apply the pressure than how much if your gonna get it in one go. try *bouncing the presure and you will get a feeling for when to apply pressure

Yah, I think your completely rite about that. I've found its more (when), rather then how much.

The keyboard analogy is pretty accurate too!
