Peterson Picks

Anyone in the UK found them to be too thick?

I've been using HPC 2000 stainless picks but I got a Peterson set and am finding it to be a lot thicker and harder to pick with. I'm thinking I'll send them back after Xmas as they're not as slender as the HPCs. I guess they're made for non European keyways?

Anyone else in the UK found they're too thick, or is it just me?

The Petersons are made for the American market and are generally too thick for european profiles. You need to order a slimline set or "Japanease" set (samething)

I thought so when I looked at them, but they were from a UK company so it's a bit odd that they sell picks for US locks?

I'll send 'em back and get a different set instead.

Dunno where exactly but they are a US company. As are HPC, and their picks are all slimline. I just expected that the Peterson's would be the same

They're beautifully made and I'd love to keep them but they just do not fit, so they'll have to go back.

Never mind. I'll stick with the HPCs.

Peterson does have a slim line range of picks.

Yeah, I got a Slender Gem in the set I bought and it's very thin but the tip is a bit big and I like a smaller tip on the hook.

I think I'll stick with the HPCs as I've done well with them so far.

i absolutely love my HPC picks...

Peterson now has the DCAP picks which are different than their slender picks. These have very thin shafts and work well in paracentric keyways.
