hey does anyone have any tips on picking this lock? ive been trying to use my bogata and rake but still yet to pick it. i think i can get 2 pins but im not sure if they are false set because this lock has security pins.

is this your first lock? if it is this lock is pretty rough with serrated and spool pins. try with an easier lock. then work your way up, and as always practice practice practice.

yea, american locks are not for beginners at all, I still stay away from them

if your not willing to spend good amounts of time picking a single lock stay away from american locks

occasionally you will get one or two, but in the long run, you could have picked several other locks and learned a lot more

One thing that will help is by looking at the key. See how deep each cut is for each pin and you will know if you are pushing the pin up too high and oversetting. For instance the number 5 pin on that key barely has to be pushed up at all.

your shell looks like an older version, but I would expect similar levels of security pins.

this isnt my frist lock at all ive been picking for about a year but i still cant get this one. ill just keep workinbg on it ill get it
