I believe that is a warded padlock not a pin tumbler.

not it is a pin tumbler es bypasing the lock by releasing the shackal by pulling the locking mech back (sorry for the lame description i don't know the proper names

lol sry for being a newbie but just to clarify, that is a master #3 not a warded lock, and you can do it with any peice of metal like say, a broken pick?

You are correct. It's a cheap dollar store lock that I've had for a few years. Also, it is a pin tumbler lock not a waffer lock.

It is a pin tumbler lock.

The bypass involves using the pick to move the latch behind the cylinder that secures the shackle.

Stick any pick-a hook pick works well-into the lock and push it past the 4th pin. Keep pushing the pick until it meets a solid surface, and you will now be touching the latch mechanism. Move the pick left and you should feel spring resistance as you move the latch across. If this doesn't work, insert the pick and move to the right side instead.

It will work on any pin tumbler padlock which only has one loocking point; however, if it has heel and toe locking points it will not work.

It will work on any padlock that doesn't have a - anti pick plate.
A lot of top end padlocks with one locking dog nad have been assembled in a locksmith shop may also be opened with this method. Many times a locksmith or apretice will not put the anti pick plate back in.
Put the bypass tool in under the pins, lift all the pins up, then push the tool all the way back until it either contacts the spring that applys pressure to the locking dog or contact the locking dog itself. Push back firmly - the tool will bite into the soft brass then lever the tip away from th pins. This will retract the locking dog and the shackle will pop up.
I agree with another posting it will only work with single locking point shackles.
