There are summers in Alaska? Or are you just using the term to relate to the months when the ice on the lakes is so thin it won't support trucks anymore?

I always thought that "Alaskan Tan" was some sort of dirty euphamism.

I believe it's closer to redundant. A chaste euphamism would be an oxymoron.

devildog wrote:Bah, professional use my &*$. Lockpicks.com specifically caters to hobbiests, not lockies. Trust me, they are not going to demand that you provide credentials of any kind. Besides, none of those keys are special or restricted; the everest might be SLIGHTLY harder to come by than the other stuff, but not really if you look hard enough (I have an everest bump key). All you really have to do is buy an everest lock (they're on ebay, among other places) and then cut one of the keys to 999 with a file.
I placed an order and received an email informing me I have to either fax or email them credentials proving you meet one of the following criteria: Locksmith license or certification Student ID for locksmith school Law Enforcement ID Repossessor license or certificate Lock distributor or manufacturer ID
I was able to get the order thru with my foley student id number which they actually called to verifiy! I know that because they called me to let me know the order was approved.
So they do take some precautions at least.
I wanted a good master set. Mine are, well, so-so. Some work, some don't

Ok, I'm quite surprised as lockpicks.com is certainly known for NOT requiring anyone to be a locksmith, etc. as they are a hobbiest supplier. Still, it's silly, as the the things are so easy to make with a key and a file...

I think thier mostly concerned with covering thier butts, but I was glad to see some sort of qualification was in place and that they actually do it too.
We'll see how good thier "master" bump keys are now

These seem to be pretty well made. I had to fax them my i.d. when I ordered. The tips and shoulders are NOT modified. They've simply moved the cuts 1mm forward, obviating the need for modification. The easy ones (to obtain--like KW1, SC1, etc) can probably be done yourself on a key machine by inserting a 1mm shim or washer. There are about 27 keys in the set, however, so the price is right given the amount of work you would have to do rounding up the blanks, etc.
