picking? a fun lock

Postby p4rk3r » 1 Jan 2007 22:51

haha my boy scout trailer has a lock on it and only three kids and the adults are allowed to know the combonation. its one with the four changable numbers... then one kid found it out, and I started to find the combo. I tried every combo starting at 1900, and I accidently twisted the first number to 0. then i got to 09** and i got it. the adults looked like this

i'm confused, what is this about?

you guessed the combo to some door you didn't have permission to access?

the adults were watching you do this?

please explain.

we do not condone picking, decoding or other bypass of locks you do not own or have permission to open here.

sorry for the confusion, i was half asleep when i typed it...

I guess I did it without permission, but my stuff was locked inside, and there was nobody there to unlock it for me... and I had to get my stuff quick because i had to leave...

so, I think that makes an exception to the rules...

and sinceI am a member of the boy scout troop and have rights to use the trailer, and I work as a techie for the church that sponsers it, I figured I shouldn't get in trouble for opening it...

You may be granted access but that door was probably locked for a reason. You help the church out that sponsors it.... That is irrelivant and what you did is unethical.

Do not pick locks that are not yours and do not pick locks that are in use, this means any type of lock,

I understand what you are saying but ethically its not on,
