Southord MPXS-62 - Identifying US vs Euro picks

Hi,

Looking at getting the MPXS-62 pick set, I notice that it says it has "12 US picks", "15 Euro/Slimline picks" + others. Looking at the picture, how can you tell the difference between each ones? i.e. which ones are the Euro and which are the US ones?

the euro/slimline picks are slightly slimmer to fit better in the tight keyways often found in european locks.


And when I say slimmer, I don't mean width of the pick, but the height.

also if you are just starting out that set is much larger then you'd need. If you have the cash to throw then go for it but otherwise look smaller

Ya hes hit the nail on the head. alot will probably be duplicates as well the 14Piece set would more than do for you

+1 for starting with a smaller set!

I think when starting to pick the number of people who fail and quit is much higher than of the people who fail and keep going. You might want to make sure you belong to the last group before spending big bucks.

i woudlnt say it quite like that. theres a difference between failing and deciding its not for you, some ppl just dont want to spend time every day. they could be good picks but just dont have the motivation to try. but i wouldn't recommend a big set to start on. i started on a 4 piece set. next time SO deliver to me ill be up to about 30ish picks n thats more than enough fro the level im at.

I have lots and lots and lots of picks, but I always use the same one, so the rest just sit there looking pretty.

i'm new to picking too, i bought the SO 8pc set. the only picks i use are the hook, half diamond and rake. you shouln't need anything bigger than the 8pc set.
