tention wrench specs?

Postby mylt1 » 6 Jan 2007 18:21

yes i have searched. i made a couple of picks this week and a tention tool but have a question(2 actually). how thick and long should the tention wrench be? and if you had to pick 4 or 5 picks to use what would they be? i have a small and large half diamond. i also have a hook but i believe i need to make a new one(got a little crazy on the grinder). for the tention tool i used a wielding rod which works nicely but i have bent it a little. so i need to make a new one. thanks for your help.

yeah i have a bunch of old tension wrenches made from welding rod.
its really good stuff.
i sometimes use them if i need heaps of torque.
seriously, dont worry about the dimensions, just make them big, and grind them down until they fit in your locks perfectly.
4 or 5 picks? hook, deeper hook, diamond, bogota, ball.

no i meant picks. i dont need a load of pics i dont have the space or need. i would only use them IRL maybe 2-5 times a year other than practice. been working on a masterlock #3 and can do pretty good but i just want to know what most peoples most used picks are. there top 4 or 5.

Being fairly new myself, I mostly use my hook, bogata rake, bogata pick, and half diamond. Raimundo has a step by step picture tutorial on how to make the bogatas, or you can get them from him. They really are awesome.
