Clockwise to the number then anticlockwise to the number then clockwise for the last number. 3 Combo. I would need to get the book for the Schmeatics of the lock but I might visit my highschool teacher soon in order to show you holigans how the lock works :D

It doesnt look too stong though. It would probably be easy to decode too......
If all fails, use nitroglycerine.

Haha I doubt you could get through half inch steel very easily bud. Even if you knock off the dial you still cant get it open. There is a half inch bolt that slides across as well....

I think it's a very nicely made safe and I couldn't make one if I tried. Nice work.

That's a sweet homebrew safe! *drooling*

I also would like to see a schematic of your lock mechanism (bad msPaint drawing or something). I think I've got the basic idea, but I'd like to know for sure. It looks like a fun project!

Though I gotta ask, where did you get the half-inch steel? I assume welded the seams?

I cast the dial from Aluminum and machined it on a lathe. I will try and get the inside drawings soon.

The American money is to spend at the Bellingham mall which is close to me. I live 45 mins away and thats why it is in my safe because withdrawing American money is anoying. The Canadian money is not fake. If you look close at the picture you can see the shiny hologram on the front.
