Hi guys and galls,

*Just a quick heads up before we start the images I’ve posted are over 1mb so those of you with slow internet you may be in for a wait sorry. If the Mods want i am happy for them to resize the pictures

Oh and if i have made any mistakes i'm sorry.

This is my wafer tumbler lock which I took from an old steel desk. I don’t know the manufacturers name sorry.

Image

This is a rim lock and I bought it for £10.00 I did take it apart recently and forgot how to put it back together but with a little help from some of the members of lockpicking 101 its in tip-top condition.

Image

This is my lever lock I haven’t tried to pick this yet because I need some special picks for it.

Image

Ahh yes my lovely “Zone” combination lock as you can see it’s attached to its chain. I’ve tried to make some shims out of coke cans (unbreakable’s guide to shim construction and usage) but they kept splitting.

Image

This is my steel laminated “security” pin tumbler lock it does me proud lol.

Image

I know it’s a bad picture of it sorry, I came up of a rating system for it black is for security pins and red is for normal pins, but it masks the name on the front, anyway it’s a “security” lock.

Image

This is my “Yale” lock it’s got about two security pins (mushroom pins) can’t manage to get the right tension on it yet but I will pick it soon.

Image

This is one of the three locks I found in my shed I don’t think it’s a UK lock the name is “Mila” it’s a pin tumbler lock I think it has a few security pins installed but I can’t pick it yet.

Image

The name of this one is “WINKHAUS” sounds like German.

Image

The name of this one is “IESO”. I have recently found out that it's an italian lock.

Image

This is my Tri-circle 265 I’ve only picked this once it’s a bit
temperamental at times.

Image

This is the first lock I ever bought and also the worst I’ve ever bought, I got my brother to time me the other day and I picked it in about one and a half seconds, no name on this lock I got it from a £1.00 shop.

Image

This is my “security” brass pin-tumbler padlock I don’t know if it has any security pins inside.

Image

Another un-named lock of mine this one takes me about two seconds to pick.

Image

This is my steel laminated “Yale” lock I usually have no trouble picking this lock.

Image

I found this one in my grandmothers shed and she said I could have it so I did. I’ve cleaned most of the lock but the lock mechanism itself is full of dirt etc so the pins get stuck and its hard to pick the name of this lock is “leader”.

Image

This is one of three laminated padlocks I bought from a £1.00 shop, they’re not very good at all they can be easily bypassed even without a bypass tool the names of them are “Toolbox” lol.

Image

Same as above.

Image

My friend bought this for me when he went travelling around Europe it’s called a “globe” lock it may look rubbish but it’s quite a hard lock especially to bypass.

Image

This lock cost me about £3.50 pin-tumbler lock its called “ROSS” it’s a god general lock to start off at.

Image

This is the last of my shoddy “Toolbox” pin-tumbler locks, but I guess if I’m feeling low I can always pick this and feel happy.

Image

This is a smaller seized tri-circle 265 hard lock to pick I think.

Image

This is another of my “tri-circle” locks I don’t know what model it is but I know it’s a hard lock (from experience) its taken me awhile but I defeated this lock and can pick it on a good day.

Image

This is my abus 60/40 lock I think it has a few security pins but it’s not that bad it is quite sensitive to torque though.

Image

My mother (of all the people) found this lock for me it’s had a hard life she said it was full of grease/gunk around the shackle and inside the plug when I had it so therefore it doesn’t pick so well.

Image

This is my “security” round (cant find the right word sorry) pin-tumbler lock because of its shape and design it only has 4 pins and I’m pretty sure none of them are security pins. It does require quite a bit of torque to turn the plug.

Image

This is another un-named locks which I bought for £1.00 enough said.

Image

This is a brass “master 140” lock it took me about one minute to pick this straight away after I took it from the package.

Image

This Is my “Yale” pin-tumbler lock I only have to set two pins and it opens so it doesn’t take me long to pick.

yeah it would be good if this thread could reach "Homebrew hall of fame" type of status...maybe someday.

This thread has existed a few other times, if I'm not mistaken. :) I actually thought, at first, that this was a resurrected thread. Personally, I don't mind ones like this popping up again because lock collections change over time and we're always getting new members. It's not like "how does a bump key work" which is a question which will always have the same answer.

Anyway :) As I said, I'm going to try to get my camera up and running again.
