have you tried talking to your local locksmith ? some of them are helpfull if you rubb them the right way :D (bee sure to tell him it is for hobby use only . . .so he dont think you ar trying to steal his costumers)
If it isn't broken . . . fix it until it is !

so far i haven't been able to find a cheap one for euro locks. i talked to a lock smith on hear and he said its about £100 (About 150 euroes) for sets that include 144 pins of each size plus an assortment of driver pins. if u do find one let me know. or if u fancy arranging a buy with a few users and splitting up the set 5/10 members then im up for that as well.

The set of 144 pins at £100 is the universal one from SKS and theres no guarentee that the pins are suitable for your locks, there are 85 pin sizes with each size being in 5 thou increments,

If you can get the measurements of the pin diameters it would be a good start, it may be that a universal one will suffice in which case replacement pins are £1 for 144 so a full kit may not be neccasary anyway but of course this is a trade price froma trade supplier,

i didn't know there were that many pin sizes!

I know the pins form my euros and yales are interchangeable (or seem to be) thats what ive been using so far.

Im looking at getting a caliper but other things are eating up my money atm. like buying locks i don't need so i can pick them.

And as for trade im sure there must be a few lockies around that would order a product like pins for a hobbiest ... or maybe not

Cheers for the info shrub

Well that was of course the pin lengths the diameters are varied but i dont know how many differant types,

Its true that most of he replacement cylinders do use the same diameter pins and you can usually find a length you need,

I can always get the odd bag of pins if you want or maybe if its a one off offer i could buy a bag each of the common sizes and then make up some basic pinning kits for the hobbiests (they will not be suitable for tradeing with) at a cost price plus postage,

Let me know if theres enough interest, uk only, one off offer as i dont want to start a business on this lol and its not being done for profit,

If you get a list of locks together you want to cover i will look through instacode and work out the common pin lengths so its a bit more universal,

Cheers the reason im asking for the sizes etc is because i picked open a LINCE cylinder lock a few days ago and found the pins to be a lot bigger in diam than what ive been used to so that inserted a doubt of getting some spare pins.

The locks i come across in spain are mainly assa, tessa iseo azbe, lince, mcm, jma and a few others.

The offer was nice but i live in spain and postage would be dearer?

maybe jacknco and i could share.

Its a one time offer Jason, the pins will be bought to order so your in or not, you cant see what the others get then say you want one,

Just thought i would make it clear,

For example, if theres 144 pins in a bag i would suggest 10 is a good number of people to have in on the deal, there will be no fancy plastic draws or pin trays or such like you will get a jiffy bag with a plastic bag inside containing a load of pins, simple as that, if im getting a couple of quid from it i will bag the pins to size so you dont have to sort them out but im not after anything rather just helping some of you out,

If some of you are also after shims nows the time to sort that out as well i guess,

Ill leave it to this thread, get together and tell me what you want and ill just get the stuff in,

Well this is looking good. but instead of pestering shrub who's going us lot a big favor if people wanna get hold of me and ill make a list up of people that are interested and what particular locks they are after. and so on and so forth.

So ya .... send me a PM or email on JackNco@gmail.com

MSN - Deafeningsilence_@hotmail.com

Hope u dont think im being to forward shrub just trying to save u the hassle and confusion...

Personally ide prefer pins bagged sepperatly and u can name ur price on that. it only seems fair u make some cash on it even if its just a good will gesture.

I asume its 144 of each pin height? im not sure about springs or drivers but im sure shrub can let us know about that.

So far we have -
