Can anyone tell me who manufactures the locks used on metal Sitex doors?
The one I have is a BS 5 lever mortice, it has a dark blue casing and the plate has the Sitex logo.
I've been told they could be made by Securefast? Can anyone else shed some light?
Also, if anyone has experience with these - what is the best 'kit' to defeat these locks.
Cheers
Jay.

Check out Shrub's guide to picking curtained lever locks. It will tell you everything you need to know. Then all you need to do is by a couple blanks, some wire, and practice practice practice.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

if a securefast then the guide wont help at all, if an old blue bs3621-1998 securefast you will know, as the curtain turns a full 360 and doesnt throw the bolt, unlike all other bs locks. This is why a curtain pick doesnt work.
you can pick with 2 wires , but is time consuming, but to beat the lock in under a minute the safe ventures kit is the way to go, under a minute 1st time every time.
If the curtain doesnt turn 360 then its not a blue securefast, so to help we would need a pic or more id info as if blue bs it could be a blue profit under the wickes badge, and if non bs , could be willenhall , b&b , colson or sentry.

if a securefast lock, then the safeventures securefast decoder is the kit, found at www.safeventures.com at around £250 plus vat.

Ok, after a bit more digging I believe this to be a 'Willenhall' lock.
Would the securefast decoder kit still be the way to go?

Mostly Blue locks on Sitex are either Securefast or Willenhall. Securfast, usually have a Hammerite finish, Willenhalls are an Indigo blue matt finish; no curtain. They are a 5 lever non-bs lock with a 7G long slim keyway.

Hope this helps

The Securefast Decoder will not open a Willenhall. If you want to see the inside of a Willenhall look here.

Willenhalls are best opened using modified overlifters.

At this point might I suggest that we don't divulge any more information with this thread. Without casting aspurtions, the original poster has few posts, no history or profile and Sitex doors are never in the public domain, I'm sure any more information would not be suitable for the open forum??????
