In Darwin, I see lots of Bilocks and Lockwood locks protecting businesses and the uni(has lots of bi locks). I've also seen the occasional lockwood digital lock (one with buttons, i dont know the formal name), and around our office (government) I've seen a few higher security locks which I have no idea what they are called, Im guessing dimple or magnetic perhaps?
As for the home, the locks we have on our front/back doors we've had for over ten years and can be picked very easily. The brand I have no idea on, other than the key has a large W on it. I'm guessing that a lot of the old residential area's are like ours have similar locks, I'm not sure about newer area's.
Criminals here usually go for the smash and grab method of breaking and entering, hopefully they wont educate themselves and figure how to pick locks any time soon.
Im not a locksmith though, so thats all i can tell you from my perspective.
