joining the mla

hi guys was just wondering how many of you all are registered with the mla? And is it worth joining ie do you get many benifits for joining, extra work etc because around my area people don`t like parting with money at the best of times so was wondering if any companys like the nhs will only use mla approved locksmiths.
thanks in advance

Hi i have been a member of the mla for 4 years now as an advanced student having passed an enterance exam ,to become a full member i need to pass the bli exam which will soon i hope be linked with city and guilds ,we have our own forum where alot of work is passed on to other who specialise in certain areas . Being a member also shows to the customer that you have high standards that are checked by the mla so yes in theory you should get more work but not always the case its a dog eat dog market with the big call centres getting alot of the work.Hope this helps alittle.

regards matt

Great networking and help with rules and regulations. Huge knowledge base and an arbitration service. A training school that's primary purpose is training rather than making money.
For what it costs compared to associations for other professions there's not much to lose.
