today i bought a yale x5 cylinder it has six pins and it says "anti-pick/anti-drill" and "exceeds highest european security rating" so i asume that it has a fair few security pins installed. anyway any advice about this lock?
Wow! Did they get it open? You have to know what your doing to drill the X5. He's sharted for the shear line by the looks of it but didnt get very far cos of the bearing lol!!
The bearing has little effect on the drill bit and is too small to interfere too much, its the front 2 pins being hardened steel that cause the grief as well as anti drill pins.
if picking, bumping has proved effective, its an assa lock under yale badge.
The 2 dots are the tops of the Anti drill pins,
one of them can be sean in the top of the drilled cylinder.
Just infront of first pin is the hole for the ball bearing
Thay didnt get it open I did with A leterbox tool.

twenty4/7 Your right. Been a while since iv had one apart (i put it on my front door!) The 2 dots are anti drill pins and the bearing is forward of them.
Picked one of these on a door Sunday night, no letterbox and EPG didn't open it. Took 40 mins of raking and single pin picking to get it. Swore at it plenty of times. Offered to cut the customer a new letterbox after half hour too! Thank god for Raimundo's Bogota's
