but the ak47 is a lot less likely to jam if not cleaned, etc. as nick cage said in the movie: its so easy even a child can use it, and they do.

the m16 is notorious at jamming if not cleaned regularly. in a wartime, you may not have time to clean your rifle.

A good friend of mine was on a river patrol boat in 'nam (recently deceased).
He related he found a rusted up ak on a sand bar. The action was rusted up, so he beat on the lever with a rock to open it. He ran a brush down the bore and that was it. He said he and his buddies fired it all the time for recreation, never cleaned it and never oiled it. With a quality barrel it would be a world beater IMO.

As to the #3, I'm just a noob. I downloaded romstars great templates a couple months ago and finally finished a set of picks, with a few extra in smaller sizes. In the past 4 days I have picked 3 #3's. One I have only picked once, I must have gotten lucky. I need to make a fatter tensioning tool for these I think. You have to watch the angle and make sure it doesn't dig into the edge of the opening rim.
Other than that, I need a lot more practice! I'm stuck on a 140 right now.

for the complete nuby picking a padlock one of the important points is how you hold the padlock, if your hands are getting tired of it, your doing it wrong, you should try some variations, I am right handed, and hold the padlock between the last three fingers in my left hand with the index finger free to press the tensor. You only need to hold it tight enough to lift the weight and keep it in place. Any more and you are increasing the frustration of it. move it and position it in your hand til you find the comfortable position for you.

Recently came back to the states on R&R from Iraq, the M16 is good, but the M4 modified is better. I'll still take a 50 cal. any day though.

Got my hands on several #3 Masters, can't SPP a single one but something in Ramundo's post just gave me a different spin on the lock that i apparently was overlooking and will have to try. I can however, rake pick each of them in under 10 seconds.

M16 jams ever 3rd shot when mildly dirty IMO, and considering the environment i'm currently in, you can clean it all day and it's still going to get dirty.
