Look around site for various reviews on them but my opinion is that they are merley a toy.

Yes you can get them in the uk maybe devon locks sell them but im unsure.

Get a cheap real lockpick set to start with, the smaller and more gimicky the tool the harder they are to use.

If your considering starting as a lockie maybe have a read of the lockie threads on this site, you need a lot of money to start up and earn none of it back very quickly.

I bought a southord jacknife set a few weeks ago - like many others who have bought these, I had to modify the hook a bit, as it seemed unusually long and was akward to work with. all in all, it's a fun little back up - but my regular picks are much more responsive and have a better feel.

I have one myself and i really do not like it at all. You cannot feel the pins at all in the locks. The handle is so heavy you never really get the feel of the pins. If you are just getting into lock picking i would highly recommend getting individual picks so you can lean the feel of the pins and tension inside the lock. I got one of these a long time ago before i had individual picks and man i had a really hard time leaning with it. now i can pick better with the individual picks maybe because i had to lean with that heavy thing but i dunno. Maybe in the long run it is good but really i would stay away from it until you are good at picking and you can have one of those laying around just In case you lock your self out or someone you know does. that way you do not have to go all the way back home to pick up your normal picks. But be careful because in some areas picks are illegal to carry and i know if you have on of those it is just so easy and convenient to keep in your pocket or on your key ring.

If you do end up getting individual picks try Digital Blue's guide on lock picking it is really good and great for anyone that wants to lean how to pick.

I forgot to include a link for a set of picks well anyway here it is. Check them out it is a pretty good set. And for that price it is hard to beat and it comes with vinyl handles a must unless you want your hands to fall off after a while because they hurt so much.

theres a really interesting jackknife set at the top of the page at newsparkling.com, its index # is 1086, three sizes of hook, and a very different type of diamond, with little saddles under the tip and on the tip. 8)
