Lock Picks brake

How often does your lock picks brake inside the lock?? I just had my hook pick brake inside my test lock. I did get it out. How can I pervent this??

really need to lighten up on tension, dont be so heavy handed, not mnay locks at all need so much tension to pop them open.

yup definitely too much tension I haven't broke one in a year or so. (I did because I stepped on it not because I was picking)

Thanks for the info. Ill lighten up. I don't really care about the pic I did not put too much work into it.

I need to make a better tension wrench. The one I am using has no give to it what so ever.

I make mine out of springs, they have good give but are sturdy enough to tension. I prefer them over regular tension wrenches.
