My first lock I picked was a Yale 5 pin deadbolt...

Just goes to show how insecure some locks are. People take locks for granted, they think "A lock is a lock" and $5 lock is the same as $20 or $30 lock. What do your parents think about you being able to pick it that fast? Mine were dumbfounded when I picked the cheap little thing with ease.

They got pissed and stole my old picks, so they don't currently no, and hopefully never will.

Also I have picked it about 5 more times in my English lit class today.

Sad...my parents are cool and all about it, but with the skill you've got it's bad your parents hold you back. My mom has taken my lockpicks a few times when she got mad at me over stuff, but I have a stash of a few picks my stepdad gave me that she doesn't know about so it doesn't do any good to take my set away.

Also forgot to mention, I keep my picks on me at all times with a printed copy of KY's laws about lockpicking(just in case people wanna give me trouble over it), so it's hard for her to find them the majority of the time... unless I've got got them out, she doesn't know I don't have them with me.

I usually like my parents to underestimate me. Also theres the fact that I'm very neutral with them in terms of "friendship" and "trust", so I don't like them knowing about a lot of the shit I do.
