Comedy of Errors

From BBC News.

Trio jailed after bungled PO raid
Three men who took part in a failed armed raid at a south Lincolnshire post office have been jailed for between seven and 10 years each.
x x x planned to steal money from a cash machine inside Weston post office on the outskirts of Spalding.

Lincoln Crown Court heard how they unsuccessfully tried to blast their way into the store with a shotgun.

Police were alerted by the postmaster who lived in an adjoining house.

Michael Cranmer-Brown, prosecuting, said when Rxxi fired his pump-action shotgun at the door, the three men expected it to open immediately, as they had seen in films.

Later they fired another shot but the door stood firm and the men fled in a car.

The court heard their attempts to escape by driving the car without using its headlights proved almost comical because they lost control and crashed.

Holywood strikes again, I guess they were going to shoot the ATM too :D
