hey im new to this site but i do however know how to pick a few locks with a little help from a friend...i started with a small screwdriver and a lockpick borrowed from my friend and basically learned how to pick locks by myself; anyway im sorry for giving my whole lock picking history but i just wanted to know if the pin tumbler door locks can be picked the same way as master locks (padlocks)

Yes they can be picked the same way. There really isn't much difference between the cores in terms of the pins and the way they're picked.

Another very useful and informative guide is the MIT Guide and you can view/download it here http://www.lysator.liu.se/mit-guide/mit-guide.html . Best of luck in your picking.
