this is a brakedown of the ruko safety plug! most of my new ruko locks both 5 and 6 pins (door/padlock/mailbox) use this system! (and it is a b.... to pick) the plug has one standard pin (the last one) and the rest is single-grooved pins made specially for casting a groove in the plug! the plug looks like a standard (???plug???)pluck with a tube around it, if you remove the tube you will see a bit of metal has been removed at the top of each pin-hole! this makes a gap with the tube for the groove in the pin to catch a lock it!
1. all the parts
2. the shell (this is from a series 500 padlock)
3. the plug with the tube in place
4. the plug with tube removed
5. see-trow of the plug
6. the pin stack
7. close up of the safty pin (single-grooved pin)
as you can see this lock calls for very light tention an a lot of luck

If it isn't broken . . . fix it until it is !
