I locked my keys in my car

My car is a '92 Nissan Sentra and I was wondering if I could just jam a screwdriver into the key hole and forcefully open it that way. I dont think a coat hanger will work because my lock opens sideways. I dont care if i damage the lock.

We don't discuss automotive entry in the open forums. And we especially dont discuss such destructice methods of entry. It would probably be cheaper to smash a window than to pry your lock of your car with a skrewdriver. And no, you need more than just a skrewdriver shoved into the key hole to open it. Good luck.

this sounds incredibly fishy, but that being said you won't accomplish anything jamming a screwdriver into this guy's lock. don't waste your time or their money.

Great screen name, this post probably ought to be deleted for just that but, if you don't want to call a locksmith for your 15yo Nissan, you might try calling a AAA subcontracting wrecker service. They will likely open your door for you pretty cheaply, and definately cheaper than your door or window repair.

Gotta agree with all of the above. you will do more damage than good trying it your self. calla locky and save the door.

Let him break out his window if he wants to. It is his car. Heck, call the fire department and borrow the jaws of life and take the whole roof off.

I will appoligize if my bypass methods should be saved for the advanced section.

But, I totally agree. Call a locksmith or wrecker company. Either one can get you into that car for a modest price, which will be much cheaper than a new roof. This of course assumes you have the right to get into that car.

Yah you can get a window for cheep at your local wrecking yard.. And you only need to buy one.. Or you can pry your lock open and spend loads of money getting new locks for all 2 or 4 doors..
