Help ID my lock!!!

Postby pauly003 » 9 Feb 2007 13:25

So I picked up a couple of these locks the other day, with no keys, and I can't figure out what brand they are. They actually look pretty high end. They are rim cylinder locks, with a rectangular keyway. Right above the keyway there is a small square with 3 upward pointing arrows. From what I can see, there appears to be 2 sets of pins on either side of the lock directly facing each other, and possibly a third set of pins coming from the the top. They sort of form the mercedes benz symbol, or a peace sign. Any help would be appreciated.

Actually I have no access to a camera, or even a way to post a pic, seeing as I use the computers at the public library. (they have no scanner) Sorry

If you search for that around here, you will find pictures to compare.

That's what the symbol on the front of the lock looks like. 3 upward pointing arrows surrounded by a box. And the keyway is a perfect rectangle. No grooves for the side of a key.

Geez...I figured this one would be fairly easy, as it is a fairly identifiable keyway and face. And now we know we are looking for 3 chevrons, not 3 arrows.

 I can see a question from you, some comments from others that seem to try to help you, and your repeated statement that you see some circumflexes or whatever... And a complaint. Strange.

sergeant keso

Postby raimundo » 13 Feb 2007 12:37

sounds like sergeant keso to me. bucksergeants patch abouve what appears to be a rectangular keyway but in actuality, the key is tapered to the edges so the keyway must be wider in the center. this would not be apparent from the outside since there is a coverplate that the chevrons are on.
