Abus Discus

I have an ABUS discus padlock, seen here (if it works) its a discus 24/70

anyways it sais it has only 4 pins and this worries me because it seems kinda inferior to their reputation/price/looks ect...
Now it sais mushroom pins (I take it thats the catch)
Is this lock hard to pick?
more importantly, do i have any chance in the world of picking it? (im sure some of you sort-of know me )

To be honest, I don't know your posts very well, so I can't tell you if you have a shot at picking it, but I can tell you that I don't think I'd be able to.

If I remember correctly, you just started picking locks two or three weeks ago? Put that lock in a drawer for a year or three or five, and then give it a shot.

As apposed to physically pushing the opening bit back in to the lock is maybe what they mean?
A lot of locks don't actually need a key to lock them do they? I hadn't really thought of that before though.

Id say that that section (How it works) would have more relevance with other products on their site. They probably just keep a similar structured design template for all their products online. Dunno, just guessin

i had been picking with just a screw driver and needle (LOL ) (unsuccessfully) as seen on another site for about 6 weeks (what a load of @#$% it was) before i found this cool forum

i've probably been correctly and successfully picking for about 4 weeks

I have a couple of those and they are among my harder locks to pick. Once you get the feel of the mushroom pins down they aren't that bad but, I couldn't pick a lock with mushroom pins until I spent a long time on spool pins. Judging by your previous posts I doubt if you would be able to pick this lock yet so you are probally making a wise choice in setting this lock aside for a while.
