999 keys

Postby srm » 12 Feb 2007 11:49

I'm finishing up the FB course and have learned a lot...mainly I've learned how much i still don't know!

I want to try to cut a bump key by code on my FB machine. What I need to know is where to set the mirometer for the 999 depths. Does anyone have any guidance?

Thaks,

srm

It depends which lock you want it for,

All lock models have their own depth and spacing, often locks made by the same manufacturer in the same case have the same but dont alway count on it,

Let us know your lock and we can tell you your deepest cut, you will get the spacings off your original key,

You normaly get the depth and space info from space and depth charts either in paper form if you can get them, through the internet or like a lot of us from software we have for the pc like Instacode etc
