I hope I can get some interest in this old thread. I am very new at this and it seems even more true now than when it was posted that high tech stuff is taking over. I don't want to start any discussion about the locks themselves in the wrong forum, I hope people will be willing to address the idea without saying anything they shouldn't to a noob.
Im guessing any discussion around hacking rfid based locking systems is reserved for the advanced sections? Its a shame because like a few of you I have a hacking background and this stuff really interests me.

Plus the general public are afraid of change. I know people who are afraid of online banking and still prefer to go to a branch. Its the same with electronic locks. Its almost like they dont trust technology. Plus for now its heaps more expensive.
