I finally picked my Master Pro Series 7035 shrouded padlock today. It has been a long time since I have made any progress and I have been working on the same locks over and over. It feels nice to get the feeling back. :D

I will post a breakdown of this lock when I figure out how to get the cylinder out. I don't see a screw under the shackle where you loosen the screw to make the cap come off the front of the lock to remove the cylinder. Any ideas?

The picture of that lock really suggests that the cylinder is removable via a screw that is accessible when the shackle is open.

Sometimes this screw fits an allen-key rather than a screwdriver, although I am sure that you would have noticed this when you were looking down into the shackle's bore. I have seen the hexagonal hole for the allen-key obscured by grease/dirt, but your lock looks very clean.

At MasterLock's website, the specifications of this lock do not list that it has a removable/rekeyable cylinder (http://www.masterlock.com/cgi-bin/produ ... t_id=D7035).

There are some locks that I have seen where the screw under the shackle which holds the cylinder-retaining plate in place has had the head of it machined off, making it impossible to remove with juts a screwdriver/allen key.

I hope this is not the case with this lock.

Hopefully somebody that has hands-on experience with this specific lock can contribute.

It will either be a Phillips-head screw, Hex-head (Allen) screw or a Rivet under the shackle holding the plate in place.

master lock rekeyable lock model numbers are 21,25,27,24,101,220,230, commercial line all rekeyable and the entire pro series is rekeyable and you can change the shackles sizes.

I'm not farmilliar with this model of Master but padlocks like the 930 also come with bottom pins that are serrated sometimes, although when picking the lock I couldn't really tell if the serrated bottom pins actually did any good or not.

Love the ghettoized sound track addition and the MSN popup sound too lol.

BTW good job.
