Hi i'm Mike and I'm brand spanking new to this forum, it looks great.
I have here a 5 pin Weiser door deadbolt. I removed the pin housing and i just wanted to know how to remove the cylinder and safely remove some pins with out breaking some springs or messing things up.
At the back side of it there is a what looks like inverse gear type cut out with a little pin in one of the dimples and its pushable. I was thinking pushing it down and spinning it ccw would remove the cylinder but i am not sure how to take out pins or how to handle them nor how to put them back.
The only thing i know about removing the cylinder is that i need to replace it with something ( saw it on a video ) so i have a rolled up scrap of pop can.
If there Is a topic made about this already a link would be great. If not any help or input would be helpful
By joining this forum i am looking to expand my knowledge of locks and lockpicking and i will also be creating most of my own picks so be sure to check out when i post them in the other section. I don't know much about lock picking and have only been doing it for a couple months now. I made my first actual pick two days ago ( low angle hook pick with flat top).
