differences between lock manufactures?

Is there a difference between a lock manufactured by ilco with a schlage key way and a schlage manufactured lock? Is there a difference in the difficulty of picking?
sorry if this is a repost or a stupid question, i searched for awhile and came up with nothing.

yes there are differences between originals and copies using the same keyways.
original schlage sometimes uses security pins, and generally uses very stiff springs which both make picking more difficult. an ilco lock with a schlage keyway will not have security pins and will have softer springs, making it easier to pick.

I've found that the ilco schlage replacement locks actually have sloppier tolerances then the actual schalge locks. With this said, I'm sure it applies to almost any other lock.

The original Schlage uses better quality of material and has better, tighter, tolerances. I have found that locks with the original type Schlage pins usually are more of a challenge to pick, The pins seem to bind more so feathering the tension is a little more critical. The only security pins I have found in Schlage has been in the F series, even the Primus does not have security pins
