I looked you up for a reason tho...bumping has caused us ,(PD/S.O./DPS/Sec) , some pause for thought...I know locks are only there to keep honest people honest...we are checking our ingress points more often. Then a thought occurred ... can auto locks be bumped ? Not so much for theft of vehickle, as theft from... some of our suits leave all kinds of high dollar items in their autos. I know you can't let me in to you'r restricted site (tho I would like to know what creds I need to gain access) but can you give me a Y/N, e-mail if you don't want to post.I'm shure there are other nightstalkers that would like to know , and you'r not giveing the badguys anything they don't already know, their information dessimination system is faster than ours .
auto locks are wafer ( the majority at least ) and there fore cannot be bumped

Welcome everybody,
For all thoes new to the site and lockpicking, LP101 is a great place to start.
Take a look at the new users section, first and don't be afraid to ask any questions just remember to try a search before posting. Cause everyone should HYSF as well as there Pick-fu.
If you're looking for locks to pick, buy some but, DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU OR ANYONE ELSE RELY ON
I repeat DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU OR ANYONE ELSE RELY ON, they can and will break, then your house/car/safe/chasity belt is vulnerable or unable to be opened (think: emergency situation).
Keep it legal.
Cheers,
UWSDWF

Hey there, I've been lurking a little bit, but decided not to post until today, the day I successfully picked my first lock! Wohoo!

Hey! Thanks for the quick answer. I'm always learning. Please read the rules regarding auto discussion. I can get it useing a pick gun, but I'm not too fast. It's a pin lock ,and I just thought that most of the others were as well.

Hey all. I joined the other day or two. I'm a college student from Northwestern PA.
I got into lockpicking through my older brother who has a set.
I got the SouthOrd PXS-14 and a Kwikset deadbolt, and three other generic locks.

Hey Everyone,
I've been meaning to introduce myself for a while now. Ive been surfing this site quite a bit since I recently discovered it. I have to say, this is a pretty awesome community here.
All my life Ive grown up loving to tinker and figure out how things work. I have been toying with locks on and off from a young age starting out with screw driver tension wrenches and paper clip picks. I am currently a mechanical engineering student in California with a strong interest in computer security and any sort of security for that matter.
I never got further than the standard file cabinet lock until recently. After reading many of the articles here and deciding I needed yet another hobby, I gave picking another shot. I have had awesome success with lots of low to mid range locks with my home made and purchased picks and tools.
Hopefully I can give back a bit to this forum and share some of my experiences.
