Like I said before, the marks company makes locks in many standard keyways. It is unlikely that you are running into their high security models but that is still possible.
Personally, I would lubricate the lock with locksaver and run a pick in and out a couple times. Then start picking as normal. This really helps on locks that are being a pain.
