What's the deal with selling?

Hi, I may be new to this forum but the whole reason I joined initially was to sell some items. Now I find out I can't until I post enough or be a member for a period of time? Come on, that's crap. I've been an ebay seller for 5 years with perfect feedback and I'm a licensed locksmith in California. I'm willing to sell some tools at a very reasonable price, and I obviously can't sell on ebay due to legal issues. Could someone take this ban off for at least my sake so that I can benefit the community here. I'd be more than happy to help people with questions on this forum, but if I'm going to be treated like dirt (deleting my post in the selling forum without notice) because people in the past were idiots, then that just pisses the honest people off. I can understand the reasoning, but is there a way to bypass this for the honest sellers? Thanks.

Well the rule will not be lifted for anyone. The fact that the rule works well is that everyone gets comfortable getting to know you by reading your posts on the forum and interacting by pm.

I am sorry you feel it is "crap" but that is the way it is. FYI, I deleted your post. Most cases I type out a pm as anyone here can attest to. When it is blatantly against the rules however I do not spend the time.

Ok, the 25 post minimum is not that bad, but the 2 months is rediculous. Any other place that sells items does not need to "get in touch" with their seller before making an agreement to purchase. Why can't their be some exceptions? If you want good members to be part of the board, then sometimes compromises are needed.

i dont see a problem with this rule, i wouldent buy anything of someone who just joind, atleast with this rule it gives people time to get a little idea of what your like.
Also isnt the forum to discuss locks and stuff, not to buy/sell items?

You can list your items on Amazon. They don't restrict locksmithing items.

The problem is amazon only has selected tools that can be sold. This is what I don't understand: I'm willing to sell an EPG-1 and 8-pin Tubular pick for cheaper than anywhere else, so that those who are in NEED won't burn as big of a hole in their pocket. If you feel I need to discuss on forums before I can even sell, then fine, but why does it have to wait 2 months? By then I won't care anymore and whoever was hoping to buy from me for cheap won't have their chance.
