do a search for security pins. maybe pick up a cheap deadbolt at the local hardware store that advertises "pick resistant pins" and practice on that ,using the knowledge you gained from your search. a deadbold will have a larger keyway, and will be easier to manipulate while you are learning.

Can you post a pic of the lock. We can't help if we don't know which lock it is.

I dont think u-haul locks have serurity pins. I have a couple locks from u-haul and to me they look like cheep master lock knock offs of a # 1 or #3. and from my experience they open rather easy.

It really depends on the lock i know they sell a rip off of Abus diskus or Master no.40 so if your up against that good luck most experienced pickers have trouble with them. The rest are just chepo 4 pinners.

I have one of the Public Storage knockoff Abus discus' and i can rake it open pretty easily. i'm pretty sure it has atleast one security pin. The lock itself is PS branded but the key is Abus branded. The lock says made in Germany also. does this mean that PS just has a contract with Abus to slap their brand on their locks but not the keys? this has been confusing me for a while.
It's a simple question Doctor, would you eat the moon if it were made of ribs?!
