Just wondering if it was a very secure lock, or any with a hammer and a screwdriver could get it opened ?
But i guess it's very secure !?!

Most people don't open cars by picking, it's usually wire tools or brute force. Alarm systems and immoblizers are more important from a security point of view.

Don't worry about the lock. Nobody who wants your car is going to pick the lock, anyway.

More than likely, a brick-pick would be used.

New lock that we can't pick easy... same as laser key and transponder keys are hard to defeat without remove entire computer out of the car(lot of work and parts pull off the dashboard

I have a golf and i think it is quite secure apart from the brick pick technique but some of the earlier mk iv's did have an exploit but i wont discuss it here. I didnt allow the car to be driven because of the transponder but they could get in and overcome the deadlocks. At the end of the day if they want in the will get in.
