Welcome everybody,
For all thoes new to the site and lockpicking, LP101 is a great place to start.
Take a look at the new users section, first and don't be afraid to ask any questions just remember to try a search before posting. Cause everyone should HYSF as well as there Pick-fu.
If you're looking for locks to pick, buy some but, DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU OR ANYONE ELSE RELY ON
I repeat DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU OR ANYONE ELSE RELY ON, they can and will break, then your house/car/safe/chasity belt is vulnerable or unable to be opened (think: emergency situation).
Keep it legal.
Cheers,
UWSDWF

Standard rigamarole? Very well.
New member, love being able to open things and close things. I've made a torsion wrench out of an old Alan wrench, and a half-diamond pick out of a hacksaw blade. (I also made a couple of hooks, but they both snapped on me. Guess that'll teach me to use high-carbon steel!)
Not looking to get DEEP DEEP into lockpicking like some of you guys (although I'm definitely impressed by it), nor am I looking to start a lifetime of crime (that one's for the FBI gents who read my E-mail. SPEND SOME TIME DEFENDING CIVIL LIBERTIES, YOU HYPOCRITES!), but rather just to learn some basic lockpicking so I can help people who get locked out of their houses (including me. )
Hope to find lots of help and give lots of help!

I became interested in the skill that is lockpicking after a friend of mine said he had been learning. I've read through hours of posts here and have a made a 5 piece set from windshield wiper inserts including a 2 piece bogota based on Raimundo's designs; they work pretty well so far.
I look forward to leeching from the minds of this forum and hopefully to return some in the not-to-distant future.
I want to thanks to Spossum for sending me some bristle so I can make a larger set. I was unable to locate any locally and he said he would help out even a newbie like me... so thanks.\

Been interested for a while, and finally decided to join up.
Hope to look around and learn a bit more before opening my mouth (probably with something incorrect).

Hi
I am new. I have tried to soak in all the introduction material as possible so, please forgive me if my edict is a little off.
I have a question if you would?
I have a Master padlock #40 (This actually goes for all my lock picking thus far). I can get all but one pin up. I can feel it and see it but no matter what I have tried I just can't get that last pin. This has become extremely frustrating and discouraging.
Do you have any suggestions?
thank you
