My bedroom's lock (with pictures)

I love this lock. I got it off Ebay for $70+shipping, and it's a nice little conversation piece everytime someone comes over. I usually keep my door locked while I'm gone, but it is very convenient to have a code to put in rather than a key because if I'm gone I can give my brother (or other family member) the code to get something out, and then just change the code when I want to.

For 70 dollars, you should've bought a used simplex lock. They are much cooler.

No, discussion of these is classed as combination and digital locks so is for the advanced access only,

Unfortunatley those locks are very very insecure with a simple bypass available along with a very simple manipulation process that takes all but 30 seconds,

Although the simplex/kaba type can also be manipulated they are far more secure than these but also 3 times the price easy lol

These 'simple' digi locks are around £30 in the UK ($60 ish) so its probably around the right money you paid, they also come in versions as cheap as £10 ($20) but still use the same internals or at least same design,

lol- always good to know. Good thing it is just a bedroom lock, and no more. A while back I was considering putting one of these on the front door.
