The pins in the bottom of the lock are returning under spring pressure and being forced up into the keyway slightly. Pop a cut down key or wiper blade into the keyway to force the pins back down.

The top drivers may have fallen into the bottom of the keyway. Take the flat side of your pick and push up in the drivers as you turn the cylinder.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

Oh ya this is true. its rare we get some one restrained enough not to ask a single question until there picking nicely made locks like that though, i know i wasn't.

I know its not the lock I have as this is a padlock. but Ruko are a sub company of assa (im 99% sure on this)

Everything ive read and all the locks ive seen in pieces are nice locks. High tension springs and plenty of spools, although i could be wrong they might make some lower level locks.

Of course i agree but having got one myself i know they can not be picked by a noob unless a very lucky pinning, so i assume it is a budget version or hes an accumplished picker,

Only playing devils advocate and by the way i hold out for that one person to have read up first and then learnt, then picked locks, then asked when they really had a real question lol please dont take my dream away,

All this could come across wrongly and i/we dont mean it, thats a good lock and if youve done it as your first youve done very well,

Can i ask if the lock has a loong pin inside the bottom of the keyway that the key slides over?
If so thats the lock ive got and it is a good lock to pick,

Nice pics shrub. what were u using to get such a close up picture? (Please don't say a camera).

The Driver pins look nothing like the ones in mine which surprised me. Mine are all compensated but with single much deeper cuts and all the cuts are much deeper.

Um, those drivers are identical to ASSA V-10 drivers, you sure that's the right pic?

I think your answer may be below (as quoted from above).

Im useing a 7.2MP casio camera, very very pleased with it with these being an average picture taken with it,
Ive just made a light box and can get truly excellent pics now,

Yes im sure its the right pic, i can be 100% sure without even checking as i havent ever had a V10 but the lock came to me used so it could have been played with but i very much doubt that as i was obviously the first to remove the tail piece,

Are you sure your V10 doesnt have Ruko pins? :P
