trouble picking my american padlocks

Oh, and most of the pin-tumbler American padlocks use the same cylinder, so what works for one should work for the rest... Keep trying.

The exceptions are the "hockey puck" (it's a variation of the standard cylinder), the ones that have cylinders for residential/commercial keys like Schlage C, etc., and the ones that accept Best-style SFIC. Sorry, I don't know the model numbers off the top of my head. It's been a few years since I've sold an American padlock...

as a side note one of the local home despots has 2(brass body) and 3(al body) packs of american series 30s for $10. i've piecked up 2 so far, one set for actually locking things, and the other for demo and play.

they have punched rivets instead of the hex screw they're supposed to.

if anyone's local i can point them to them or if anyone wants i can grab them if they've still any left and post them out at cost.
