Let me guess... They're there because they won't let you get to the circlips unless you know how ?

they shouldn't be there at all... the only time i've seen perminent retaining pieces they are riveted on plates... it should just be a circlip... a tight circlip possibly but a circlip none the less

Well, I am now looking at the lock for a few minutes and I can't find the gap. It's looking like a circlip, it's in the place a circlip would be, but....I don't know what to do...

you want to attempt to remove the "circlip" use a small screwdriver or needle nose pliers and rip it off

Yes, I know, but I don't know on which side/place on the circlip to push.

I tried pushing it with all strenght I have, all ways I can - no result, just damaging the circlip.

Been on the web page about your lock and it seems to be as standard a circlip should be present. Not a lock used hear in spain but there are similar ones but none without a circlip that has a split in it to aid removal.

Meanwhile as sugested a small flat head screwdriver pushed between the clip and the cam push into the lock and manipulate the circlip from its position , it will come off.

Its also part of the assa abloy group and none of there locksas far as im aware have a fixed ring instaed of a circlip.

An interesting thing happened when I was preparing to take the pictures.
For the last time I put all my effort into dismanling the lock. I pushed onto the screwdriver. The circlip had split into two. But, really violently. I dismantled the lock and found out these things:

1) No circlips. They were continous pieces of metal. Yup. I am no liar . I asked the local locksmith about it, and he told me, that the cheaper FAB locks has these rings instead of circlips, so I immediately bought one to dismantle it just for practice.

2) Why I had problems picking it ? Because of the cam mechanism. I was wondering when I was looking at one spare driver pin that came from nowhere. I found out, that this driver pin belongs to the longer plug ( remember the picture ? They are not the same lenght ). There is also a metal piece on springs that are inserted also in the plug. The second (shorter) plug has the springs and that metal piece, but It hasn't got any other pin. The first plug is longer because of that pin. Here is how it works:
In idle state, there is the metal thing from the short plug inserted in the cam. So when you put a key to the shorter plug, you turn the cam, but not the other plug. When you insert the key to the longer plug, you push the pin ( that horizontal one ) to the metal part that goes to the cam, and forces the other metal thing (from the shorter plug) to go out of the cam. This way you turn the cam from the longer side. So: I was having problems because I was picking the longer side. That's all. Oh, by the way: no security pins. No spools, no nothing.

Now, I'm going to dismantle the more expensive one and see what's in....
