RB Medical cupboard try out keys

Does anyone use the Rimmer Brothers tryout keys made for the smaller 3 and 4 lever locks?

If so what do you think about them?
Are they worth the money?
Are they effective?

Im tempted to make my own but the price verses my time and effort is so close im thinking of just buying them,

They offer a standard and a mini set. Apart from size (i guess) whats the difference between the two, in regards to applications?

What sort of locks do they fit? Are we taking brass 3/4 levers usually with pin in keyway found on bureaus and other wooden cabinets?

Yes those locks,

They are for the 3 and 4 lever types found on old cabinets etc,

I get loads of them and nearly always have to make a 2 in 1 on the spot from a key as they can be so very differant and i keep loosing the keys i modify lol,

Im sure perhaps overlifting works well on them but if these are as effective as the 2 and 3 lever try out keys then ill just buy a set as it wont take many jobs to get them paid for,

Or the other idea i had was to get someone on here to make a computor program that would calculate some optimum sizes for making my own set,

Ps, the mini set is for smaller gauge locks,

The PC801 is the standard set at Â£185 inc and the PC802 is the mini set at the same price,

Its a shame we cant just resize the 3 lever tryout keys :idea:

Somewhere I have a template for 3 pin try out keys made out of flat steel. If these are what you are on about, ill try and dig it up and pass it on.

Well these are lever locks but they may be useable so i wouldnt say no to it, thanks :wink:
