the main problem im having at the moment is putting the pins back into the cylinder.. i seem to spend most my time on the floor picking up pins that have fired out..

I can get one pin back in easy enough.. then you quickly push the cylinder back while holding it down.. but id need another pair of hands to put two pins back..

whats the trick with this? do you need to use a special shimmy?

You use a plug follower and a tweezers to put the pins back in. Once you have all of the pins back in the bible, then you replace the follower with the plug. Search the forum and you will find a great guide on how to disassemble/reassemble a cylinder.

Bump bumpo bump to you as well, answers dont always come within a day or so but they will normally come so be patient,

Again click on my www button, print it out and keep it with you, this tells you how to do everythign you need to know,

Do not play with your door locks and ignore bum keys,

The x5 not only has 6 pins but the wading is differant as well so a A1 blank wont fit, if it does youve got a normal 6 pin yale and not the x5,

I think he may have meant this thread,

either that or the bump, bump, bump post.
Just a guess.
