I don't have a link to the right size band plumbing snake, but you may have some luck looking in all the small and big house hardware stores in the plumbing sections.

I have looked for that stuff in all the hardware outfits in my area and the best luck I have had was finding a 20'x1/2"x1/8" band. This is not the ideal size to work with as it will require way to much work to produce a workable tool.

If anyone else has one please jump in and share.

Sorry I couldn't be any real help on this subject.

I made mine out of electrical fish tapes. But I had some old ones laying around. I had to grind them down at the end but works fine.

Here's the type of plumbers snake you want. We call it a "hand snake" and don't actually use it much. It just gets pushed into the drain line by...hand. It's actually called a "flat sewer rod". Available at any plumbing supply.

A fish tape is used to pull wire up through a wall cavity or above a ceiling. They're just about the same as sewer rods but smaller. Here's one.

The pics posted above are plumbing snake, but too thick and wide. You are looking for a smaller type for sinks, etc. They are made to pass through the "S" traps. I picked mine up a lowes hardware . It is made by a company called "cobra sewer machine products" and it is called "sink cleaner" it is 1/4"wide x 20' long.
