Corbin Russwin Keys

Can anyone help me is there different types of Corbin Russwin keys, what I mean by that is I bought some bump keys and they are different from the key that comes with the lock I have, On the original key it is stamped " L4 " and on the ones I bought it has " RU 4 " on it and they look different. Yes there are a wide variety of keyways for Corbin Russwin locks.

You're dealing with 2 different keyways. IIRC, Corbin Russwin has the most keyways of any American lock manufacturer. The L4 is their new stock keyway (comes in all new locks unless otherwise specified). The RU4 is a generic blank for the Russwin 981, an older stock keyway.

The depth and spacing specs are different between the two classes of keyways...

Sorry, I don't know of anything similar from Sargent.

The ILCO catalog will be what you probably really want.

It isn't as comprehensive as the ILCO catalog, but it has most of the common keyways.
