I have done it with corbin(7 times opened before control sheer line),best the same thing, just luck. This yale is killing me 2hours and nothing, can open the lock, but can't get it out of the lever. It will sit on the bench till I can get it -to nice of a lock to drill- it's just the first yale ic core that I have seen. It's a big dog of a cylinder though,I can get in there and play very easy.I think it's a cg keyway, but not sure, have to get to work tommorrow to dig in!!

Odd that you posted here rather than start a new post, but are you sure it's not a large format icore? If so, you'll need to hit a pin in the back of the lock. Operates differently than an SFIC

The Yale LFIC (large format interchangeable core) is a 7 pin lock. The first six pins (going from front to back) are the ones that the change and master keys operate. The seventh pin must be raised to the full height of a blank to engage the control lug. so you have to pick the 6 pins and raise the 7th pin and rotate. However it is very easy to pick it a wee bit too far, and raising the 7th pin wont do anything in this case. Probably the easiest thing is to impression the key bitting on the extra long blank. I think Ilco H998 is what you want.

Thank you Chucklz,You were right. It is a LFIC,I sould have known, the cylinder was so big, kind of like a Schlage LFIC.It was hard for me to pick to the control line, becouse the cylinder would turn before I could get to the last pin. Finally got it though(love that feeling) like a fool I put it back in the lever, and can't get it out --yet--was that just luck or am I getting better?
