STS Dimple Locks - Help!

Postby starq » 23 Mar 2007 6:00

Hi guys are you fancy with STS locks manufacturer? Are they any good? It's hard to buy any lock form them, as they seem to speak Spanish only. Have you ever used any STS dimple locks (I'm mostly interested in STS dimple locks)? Do they have "traps" like those expensive-high-security ones? Maybe you could provide me with some cylinder pics or blueprints? Please, help me out!

Thanks in advance, Adam

I'm from Poland, and I saw one STS lock when I was in Warsaw visiting my friend locksmith. Before posting here I've searched almost every Polish web sites as well as google for some info about those locks and I didn't find anything... I thought you guys might know something about STS. I've also tried asking people from STS company for information - no response.

lp101

Postby raimundo » 24 Mar 2007 11:20

Lp101 has many americans, and british and australians, but the representation for most of the world is very thin, The europeans all have their own sites, holland, france and particularily germany are very active in the lockpicking sport, but they are using european locks and tools. Spain is not widly known on the lp100, probably because there are several good forums in spanish, so all their pickers would be going there for information on spanish locks.

Spanish (European) Locks from next-thepicker- Lockpicking es

Postby next » 1 Apr 2007 4:55

Hi my friend!
STS is one of the trade marks from TESA, as well as Seguritesa, Cisa and Tesa. This brand was created for the security locks of the group in the past, by now keeps on building locks, but the best cilinders are selled under the main brand TESA. You can see their products in WWW.TESA.COM
I must say TESA is a company from the Assa-Abloy holding, owner of the Mul-T-Lock; Assa; Abloy; Kaba; Tesa and every the best sellers and best manufactures around the world about locks.
The Tesa locks, serrated or dimpler, are my favorite to pick, because are ¡well done!, is world appart from all the others I ever tryed, and they give a great satisfaction when you pass one.
If you get one, never will forget it. When you pick and pass one of this you can say " I am a lock-master"
This is my expirience. I am a lockpicker from Spain known as next, from lockpicking . es , builder of the lockpicking group Comando Madrid. If more information is needed four you, we are glad to help you

there you have it, next has a post count of 1 and there are 2 of his posts in this thread, he also mentions a group in madrid, a scene seldom heard from in the lp101, is there still that lockpicking house in madrid, fuga or something, a commercial site that is sort of like a laser tag game only with lockpicks and doors I think if I remember right. I'll google for it and get back with a link if I find it. firstkeywords for search, fuga and lockpick

Hallo all friends!
I´m trying to answer raimundo´s post.
Well, I come from the virtual gang Lockpicking "point" es, the only real open site for lockpicking in spanish languaje. Now I´m starting to build the first registred assosation of sporting lockpicking in Spain, that will be seated in Madrid, there it comes the name "Comando Madrid".
By the moment the only right reference of this is in the foro of us. There is an e-mail address registered to.

STS are my faourites Locks, by TESA

Postby next » 13 Apr 2007 13:03

In my last post I speak about my spanish spoken group, but now, I´ve to say that in this moment, STS manufactures small cilinders for vending machines. I´ve got one from a tabaco´s machine (serrated not dimpler) with the same level as dimpler I ever saw.
Security isn´t a concept based on the kayway desing(serrated or dimpler or tetra-cruz, or tubular or anyway)
And my small one, I can´t pass it by picks!!!!!!!!!!!
