If you did a search for kwikset on the forum, you'd most likely see "cheap" "easy" "joke" "high security my eye" "roflcopter" in the same sentence. They are not very secure. Most people pick them and laugh at how many homes are actually protected by them. There are some that are actually a little hard to pick, but they are rare. I do not know about Titan Kwiksets though as I've not hand my hands on one.

Use the Kwikset for inspiration to pick harder locks. Good luck

If it said "Anyone can pick this lock with minimal effort." Would you buy it?? :) Most locks you buy will say "pick resistant" Sometimes it's true, sometimes not.

If it was a Ultramax Kwikset cylinder, it would have two or three spool pins that could be considered borderline pick resistant or what I call, "barely legal". They weren't much of a challenge though, the tolerances were so darn sloppy that the lock was basically telling you what to do to get it open.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

I think Kwikpick now puts in 2 or 3 spools, but still, not exactly anything difficult with their amazing tolerances.

Did the package say 5 pin pick resistant cylinder?

Interested in a test? I have an HPC dental diamond that's perfect for stuff like that

As for "pick resistant", any manufacturer can claim that and probably does as long as you can't get a bic pen into the keyway. AFAIK it takes a lot of force to get a bic pen into a kwikset keyway so it's justified.
It's not the tools that open the lock. It's me.

Yes, most deadbolts you will come across will be 5 pin. Some are bored for 6 pins, but the 6th pin chamber is empty. In my experience, pretty much all packages say "pick resistant". If a lock contains any type of security pins, the packaging usually says "contains pick resistant security pins"
