And to add to the previous posting: Do NOT pick/bump locks that you or someone else relies on! As I can sense, you haven't bumped before and as a result of that you probably may break the door lock by bumping.

Regarding your key, I'd only say that it is not good. Mods come after me if I tell you more ;)

Only a guess but i'd say you have too many cuts (7 instead of 6) and they are not deep enough. Post pic of original key.

The ramps are ok, could stand to be a little sharper but the valleys are way too small. You'll have to take your file and widen it up a bit. Take a look at the original key if you have another to get the basic idea.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

Trying it on your door... not a good idea, love. Go buy a padlock.

ASSA does make 7 pin locks, so that is probably not a mistake, however the depths look a bit wrong to me.

It was copy of my key of my lock on my former entry door. I never bumped before, but pins at my ASSA lock are hard to bump up, its like you have use some force just to insert the normal key into the lock

Its 7 pins ASSA entry-door lock

Here is pic of original key, I hope it will help, I really want to know about bumpkeys becouse of personal security reasons.

So is there any possibility to make correct bumpkey of this key?

I know its against laws to discuss how to make bumpkey, but before I posted the pic of mine I was sure it was made not correctly, so I just wanted people to look and say what they think about it

I'm not sure what country you hail from but there are no laws anywhere that I'm aware of that dictate it illegal to discuss the making of a bump key... out of my own interest could you site the country and the specific law.
The part that I was refering to in the link I posted was reading all the stickies and searching before posting. There are hundreds of threads on the topic of making bumpkeys as well as numerous guides linked in those threads on the correct manner of making/pictures of how to make them. So the question becomes why do we need a new unsightly thread on bumpkeys when simply tagging on to one of the other "will this work" threads on bumpkeys?

Just did a quick test of my own post count, which appears to be increasing normally. Must just be new members. Weird...

Right, I should use search first.
